- Below: highlights of the December 27th 2019 discussion between Verco R2 Committee Members and Mrs Martine
Perruchoud-Hofstädter & Mr Alain Perruchoud (representatives of the Commune of Chalais-Vercorin):
- The Municipality will look into providing a set of free passes (weighted by the number of rooms per chalet ?) for the use to the cable car to the Crêt du Midi.
- The Municipality will look at alternatives for the Vercorin – Grimentz connection, possibly via a car-sharing application.
- The “Creux du Lavioz” will undergo a comprehensive redevelopment. This will probably entail using the water of the “Bisse” to set up a small pool for children.
- Verco-Jazz: the Municipality has made it clear that they are in favour of providing financial help for Verco Jazz, but they cannot provide personnel.
- The village’s garbage dump will be shut down within the coming year. The Municipality is looking into maintaining a dump for organic waste (cut grass and tree branches). The Municipality is also looking into providing a deposit site for organic kitchen waste.
- The Municipality will look into conceding some reductions for the “R2” with regards to their use some utilities, but only where such use can be easily measured in terms of variable costs (example: it is too expensive to set up water meters for each property, so that the current system will stay in place).
